Laboratory Testing
As part of any investigation we can complete a variety of laboratory testing, either by ourselves or by an independent laboratory. Geotechnical testing on soil includes:
• Moisture content • Atterberg Limits • Particle size grading analysis (including hydrometers) • Bulk Density • Dry Density • pH, sulphate and chloride content • Organic content • Compactions • California Bearing Ratio (CBR) • Moisture Condition Value (MCV) • Shear Boxes • Triaxial testing • Oedometer testing Environmental testing on soils can be undertaken by a specialist laboratory and the suite of testing can be designed to the individual contract. This includes Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC Analysis), Murphy Suite or the Arup Suite. Rock testing is also complete by our in-house laboratory or by specialist laboroatories. Testing includes: • Point load • Unconfined compression tests (UCS) • 10% fines value • Aggregate Impact Value • Tensile strength • Abrasion testing • Polished stone value Any additional testing can be supplied upon request. |
